SCG SINGLES GOLF GUIDELINES
Open to members of the SCG Singles Club.
All players must be in the Chelsea Tee Time reservation system at Granite Falls Golf Course with a Chelsea ID number.
Member guests are welcome, and the Member's Chelsea # will be used. However their name will not be added until all Core Players have Tee Times.
New Members may play as a guest one time, thereafter membership is required.
Core Players: Persons who play every week need to call the Golf Coordinator when they CANNOT play. They must call at least EIGHT days in advance, before 5:00 PM on Wednesday.
Other Players: Players not in Core must call EIGHT days in advance before 5:00 PM on Wednesday to request a tee time.
CANCELLATIONS
All Cancellations must be made with the Singles Club Golf Coordinator. DO NOT CALL the Pro Shop. By calling the Coordinator we are able to include last minute additions on the first come basis. There are times when cancellations become necessary. The Golf Coordinator will accept cancellations until Tuesday at 7:00 PM of the week of play. If you cancel after Tuesday evening you will be fine $5.00 until Thursday
morning. If you do not cancel , don't show up for your tee time, or do not play you will be fined $10.00 on Thursday. A member who has been fined will be given one more tee time assignment in which to pay their fine. If the member does not pay, nor does not notify the Golf Coordinator of planned payment, the member will not be scheduled to any subsequent tee times until the fine is paid. Fine monies will go toward funding prizes for our special events.
PAIRINGS
The Golf Coordinator will assign pairings according to the following:
- Members and their guests.
- Coupled members, if requested.
- All other pairings will be determined by the Golf Coordinator giving consideration to the member's time preference when available.
GENERAL INFORMATION
A few tips to make the process of scheduling golfers each week more manageable.
1. You must give your name directly to us not through a friend. Call and talk to the Golf Coordinator or leave a message on their answering machine or email.
2. We will request morning tee times at 7:00 am in the summer months and in the morning to noon in the
winter. However please keep the whole day open for play, because weather conditions and Chelsea may
dictate changes in tee times
3. We try hard to get the whole group on the same course at somewhat the same time, but that does not
always happen due to the way Chelsea works and the flood of players wanting to play in the winter months.
4. The pro shops have requested that we check in at the course at least 20 minutes before our assigned tee times.
5. Please meet your foursome at your assigned hole golf cart parking spot.
SPECIAL EVENTS
We will try to have special events each quarter. You will be advised the dates and game that will be played
by the Special Events Coordinator or Golf Coordinator.
GOLF GATHERINGS
If you would like to host a golf gathering after golf, please let us know. We will try to do this at least
once a quarter.
